Welcome to Pleasant Beginning Day Care Center! By enrolling your child or utilizing our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all children, families, and staff at our center. Please read them carefully.

1. Enrollment and Registration

  • Eligibility: Our programs are open to children aged 6 months to 5 years. Enrollment is subject to availability and completion of all required registration forms, including medical and emergency contact information.
  • Registration Process: Parents or guardians must submit a completed application, provide proof of immunizations, and pay a non-refundable registration fee to secure a spot.
  • Trial Period: New enrollments are subject to a two-week trial period to ensure our program is a good fit for your child and family.

2. Tuition and Payment

  • Payment Schedule: Tuition is due monthly, in advance, on the 1st of each month. Late payments may incur a fee of $25 per day after a 5-day grace period.
  • Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or check. A $30 fee will be charged for returned checks.
  • Refunds: Tuition is non-refundable, except in cases of program cancellation by the center. No refunds will be issued for absences, holidays, or closures due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather emergencies).
  • Additional Fees: Extra charges may apply for extended care hours, late pick-ups ($1 per minute after 6:00 PM), or special activities (e.g., field trips).

3. Attendance and Scheduling

  • Hours of Operation: The center operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on weekends and major holidays, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Children must be dropped off and picked up by an authorized adult listed on the enrollment form. Photo ID may be required for pick-up.
  • Late Pick-Up Policy: A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged for pick-ups after 6:00 PM. Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional penalties or termination of enrollment.
  • Absences: Please notify the center by 8:00 AM if your child will be absent. No tuition adjustments will be made for absences.

4. Health and Safety

  • Immunizations: All children must provide up-to-date immunization records as required by state regulations. Exemptions may be considered with proper documentation.
  • Illness Policy: Children exhibiting symptoms of illness (e.g., fever, vomiting, contagious conditions) must be kept home until symptom-free for 24 hours without medication. Parents must notify the center of any contagious illnesses.
  • Medical Emergencies: In case of a medical emergency, we will contact emergency services and the child’s parent/guardian immediately. Parents are responsible for any medical costs incurred.
  • Allergies and Dietary Needs: Parents must inform the center of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of enrollment. We strive to accommodate special needs but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

5. Behavior and Conduct

  • Child Behavior: We promote a positive and respectful environment. Persistent disruptive or harmful behavior may result in a meeting with parents to create a behavior plan. In extreme cases, enrollment may be terminated.
  • Parent Conduct: We expect respectful communication and behavior from parents/guardians. Abusive or threatening behavior toward staff or other families may result in termination of enrollment.

6. Program and Activities

  • Curriculum: Our programs include play-based learning, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and educational development tailored to each child’s age and needs.
  • Field Trips and Events: Participation in field trips or special events requires parental consent. Additional fees may apply.
  • Personal Belongings: Parents are responsible for providing necessary items (e.g., diapers, change of clothes). The center is not liable for lost or damaged personal items.

7. Withdrawal and Termination

  • Withdrawal by Parent: Parents must provide 30 days’ written notice to withdraw their child. Tuition is due for the notice period, regardless of attendance.
  • Termination by Center: The center reserves the right to terminate enrollment due to non-payment, repeated policy violations, or if the program is not suitable for the child’s needs, with written notice provided.

8. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Personal Information: All personal information provided during enrollment is kept confidential and used solely for operational and emergency purposes, in compliance with applicable laws.
  • Photography: Photos or videos of children may be taken for internal use (e.g., classroom displays) or promotional materials. Parents may opt out by providing written notice at enrollment.

9. Liability and Insurance

  • Liability: Welcome to Pleasant Beginning Day Care Center is not liable for injuries or accidents occurring during normal activities, except in cases of gross negligence by staff.
  • Insurance: The center maintains general liability insurance. Parents are encouraged to carry their own health insurance for their child.

10. Changes to Terms

  • Updates: The center reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions with 30 days’ written notice to parents/guardians. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
